My 2022 will NOT look like this…
It will not be a balancing act.
It will not include missing important pieces.
It will not be full of gaps and holes because I will try to stack one thing on top of another, just to get figuratively taller.
We know what happens when life looks life this. It eventually tumbles down.
You’ve played the game.
You can only get so high until the weight of what’s on top can’t handle all the missing pieces throughout.
As I scroll through social media, I seen several people deciding to make family and mental health a priority this year. I’m not gonna lie…I’m there, too. I’ve actually been there for months and only told a few people of what God has been speaking into my spirit. I see God working through others, too. They may not see it as that, but I do.
Listen closely…
Sitting by and letting others pull out pieces of your life does nothing for you except make you weak and vulnerable to the enemy. We all know who he is and what he likes to do…steal, kill and destroy.
The enemy wants nothing more for you to look like this unstable tower and feel vulnerable.
Lemme tell you something…
It’s okay to stop, knock everything down and rebuild on the firm foundation you have in Christ.
There’s no shame there, friend. I will be the first to admit. I am doing it. I am scared as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs…but,
I. Am. Doing. It.
You can, too.
Your 2022 doesn’t have to look like your 2021.
I’ve been saved a long time, but purpose will ALWAYS overshadow petty priorities.
Seek your purpose in prayer, friend.
Build on Jesus.
That makes for a Happy New Year.
1 Corinthians 3:10-16
“By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.
Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are temples.”
