He did it for the Israelites as they wandered.
He did for Elijah as he was being prepared for Mt. Carmel.
He will do it for you, too.
Listen, the wilderness is just what it is…wild.
You dont know what you may encounter when you are there and the way out often seems very bleak, discouraging and afar off…but there is rejoicing in sight. God can take the desert and make it blossom like a rose.
He will spread a table for you in the wilderness.
Read that again.
If God did it for Israel and He did for Elijah, then he will do it for you. We are much like the Israelites in Psalm 78, asking if God can provide food in the wilderness. The same people that watched Him part the Red Sea were worried about a bite to eat.
We look at these Bible stories and we get in our head that God has changed from back then because the world looks different.
You know that’s a lie.
He changes not.
Trust Him to provide you with manna from heaven and clouds by day and fire by night. He will feed you by the ravens and place you right by the brook.
You have a table spread for you…you just too weary to look up from the road you have been traveling.
He will sustain you, friend.
Be at rest and trust that if He’s done it before, He can do it again!
He is faithful in all things…He can prop up a table in the middle of nowhere for you to feast on His goodness!
