We can strive for many goals on this side of eternity, but each one of them will pass away.
Lord, help us to strive today and in the days to come to discipline our bodies and minds for an imperishable crown…that heavenly reward, that will not pass away. A crown that never fades…
“Don’t you know that the runners in a stadium all race, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way to win the prize. Now everyone who competed exercises self-control in everything. However, they do it to receive a crown that will fade away, but we a crown that will never fade away.”
