Satan’s Strategy

We only want to think about the attacks of Satan on the family in our generation, but through scripture we can see the tactic of Satan bringing corruption of the marriage and family. It’s his strategy to destroying society since the beginning of time.

We will often say that God doesn’t change and let me assure you, He doesn’t…but lets not forget that Satan’s tactics don’t either. Evil is evil. The Bible says that the enemy of our soul comes to steal, kill and destroy. His tactics haven’t changed since The Garden.

He lied to Eve about eating fruit from a tree and now he is lying to you to keep you from being fruitful through the Holy Spirit. He disrupted the marriage of Adam and Eve because there was a hunger to be like God, not trust God.

If his lips are moving, he’s lying.

Here we are over 2,000 years later watching families destroyed through the lies of the enemy. Scripture tells us that Satan comes as an angel of light and his current tactic is to feed you the lie that you deserve to be happy…and your happiness should come at all costs. You can be what you want, marry who you want, do what you want and act how you want…all because it makes you happy. We have a hunger for happiness and it has starved us of holiness.

Satan loves to twist The Word of God and have you questioning the truth. When you are questioning truth, it is easier to believe a lie. Look at Jesus in wilderness after he had fasted for 40 days and 40 nights and was hungry. Here comes Satan using scripture misapplied to tempt Christ. He wasn’t telling Jesus anything that wasn’t true, but it was scripture twisted. He was using the truths of God for purposes that would not glorify God. Can God turn stones to bread, summon a legion of angels to catch Him from falling and did He know He would be King of kings?

Absolutely, Yes.

Taking the truths of God and twisting them for your benefit is dangerous territory. But, here we are again…2,000 years later taking pieces of scripture and making them fit what we need them to be in an attempt to justify sin. We have misapplied the truths of God to our lives for purposes that do NOT glorify Him. Jesus was trying to be enticed to use his divinity against His mission. If we know The Word and it is hidden in our hearts, we will recognize the twisted words of Satan and can say as Jesus did, “Go away!” He blew the whistle on his lies.

So many times we want to think that we can’t know the plan of the enemy, but you have access to his strategies in the Word of God. You know as well as I do, if you are on a team and have to learn a book of plays before you can get out on the field, you are going to study that book so you know what to do when your opponent comes toward you. Well, the Bible is your playbook for life. He is good at coming at you like a roaring lion, but he is also cunning. Just because he is quiet, doesn’t mean he is not working. His presence should not be questioned in the stories we read in scripture or over 2,000 years later in our daily lives.

We must be sober and vigilant for our adversary is walking about. He is looking for who he may devour and he has a hunger for anything Godly. Do not be mistaken in his goal to destroy society. He knows his days are numbered. You have everything your need in this life in the The Word of God. Study and show yourself approved on the field of life and refuse to allow the enemy to destroy what God made in His image.

You have the ability through Christ to blow the whistle to his nonsense.
