“I am weary with my moaning; every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping. My eye wastes away because of grief; it grows weak because of all my foes.” Psalm 6:6-7
Have you felt like this before? Man alive, I sure have! I am sure there will be times like this in the future. How did I get through it? How will you get through it? It’s simple, yet in our sorrow we overlook our solution so many times.
Jesus.
Whether our hard times are because of our own sin (like David in Psalm 6), or we simply don’t understand the nature for our hardships…we must cling to Jesus. Friends can help us, but their help is limited. Family can support you, but their support only carries you so far. Jesus’ help is perfect. His support carries you through ‘til the end. I’m so thankful that I don’t have to be perfect, because I serve a God who is. If you are struggling today, cling to Jesus and His divine perfection. He is waiting for you to pick up your head, so He can pick you up!
