Ever thought about the pizza delivery guy and God in the same thought? Probably not…but when I was reading through Psalm 91 tonight, that’s the picture I had in my head!
You see, when you place that order on your phone on through an app, you are expecting that pizza to arrive. You are promised that because you paid your money, some dude is going to show up at your house at the time they told you. You’ve given him your name and address and he knows where to go. You trust that.
Why don’t we trust God as much as we trust that delivery guy? He has shown up time and time again and delivered us just as He promised! AND…God already knows our name and has protected us! When you get up from the table with Jesus, you are satisfied. Not just satisfied like a full belly of cheesy, pepperoni pizza (can’t you tell I’m missing junk food), but to be content and fulfilled in the glory of Who He is…Trusting that no matter what traffic or detours we may face, He will always show up right on time!
Psalm 91:14-16 says:
“Because he is lovingly devoted to Me, I will deliver him; I will protect him because he knows My name. When he calls out to Me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue him and give him honor. I will satisfy him with long life and show him My salvation.”
Trust God to always deliver you. His hand of protection is on you at this very moment. You are kept. You can be fully persuaded that what God has promised to you, He is able to perform in your life and you WILL be satisfied. Devote yourself to Him…He will deliver. I can almost smell the aroma of His glory! He’s never late, so don’t lose faith. Your doorbell should be ringing any moment. 😉
