1 John 4:7 (NIV) “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.”
Sometimes it is so hard to love others…especially the way God loves us. Frankly, I think it is impossible, but we should strive to love everyone as God does. Is it easy? Absolutely not! Especially when you feel you have been wronged, used, abused, neglected or mistreated. Usually my first instinct is to go straight mouthy, Mayo redneck. But…If God is love and God lives in us, then should we not display His love to others?
I love how God is quick to remind me that even though we may feel unloveable at times…He loves us more than anything! And…sometimes the way to feel love, is it to show it to others! Take time today to show someone you love them! This is your sign from God to love on someone that is outside your comfort zone…someone unloveable…someone who hurt you! They may not reciprocate, but it displays the love of The One living inside you!
