I watched the new Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins Returns) the other night and of course it wasn’t as good as the original, but still an enjoyable movie. Several times, Mary and the kids would said, “Everything is possible, even the impossible”. During the sermon Sunday, my pastor made the statement that the impossible is possible with God. I quickly thought back to Mary with her talking umbrella and quirky sense of style and decided she is the perfect drawing for Matthew 19:26 as Jesus is talking to his disciples:
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
A question I ask myself is, “What if we lived everyday with Matthew 19:26 at the forefront of our thoughts?
What if we told ourselves to let go of how we think God works and allow Him to just work the impossible in our lives?
What if we closed our umbrella in the rain because we knew the sunshine is coming just behind those clouds?
Living in the impossible is living in faith. If we could do it all, there would be no need for our Heavenly Father. Goals and dreams seem impossible at times…but with God, everything is possible, EVEN the impossible! Trust in Him to show you the possibilities in the impossible situations you are facing tonight.
Now, that’s Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! That means, extraordinarily wonderful, just in case ya didn’t know! 😉
