2021 Word: “Enlighten”
Defined as: give greater knowledge and understanding about a subject or situation
To shed light upon;
My verses are Isaiah 42:6-7
“I, The Lord, have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand; I will keep you and give you as a covenant to the people, as a light to the gentiles, to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house.”
This is actually a promise from the Lord to Jesus Christ. But, as a believer these promises also belong to me. I want to be enlightened in the upcoming year about my Jesus…to have a greater understanding of my Father. But secondly, I want to make sure that I am always shedding light on Jesus…pointing others to Him. It is a reminder that I am called to righteousness, God is my keeper and holds my hand. I am to be a light in the dark world.
I’ve got this bucket list in my #christianplanner but am waiting on some new chalk markers to put it on a blank board in my living room. That way the fam can join in and we can work on it together! Some of these are from 2020 and I figured they deserved another chance! 😂
