I’ve been focused on some of the “short books” of the Bible and Psalm 117 is one of them. With two verses, it should be one to memorize for sure…
“Praise the Lord, all nations! Extol him, all peoples! For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!
It is thought that Jesus and the disciples at the Lord’s supper sang this Psalm. When you extol something or someone you praise them highly and enthusiastically. That means that Jesus was praising God enthusiastically before He went to the cross…and we can’t even praise God enthusiastically in worship service or even more so, in our everyday comfy, cushy lives.
Let’s fall on our knees, raise our hands and praise our God for His love and faithfulness toward all people.
