Read Psalm 118 last night and I loved these verses:
“Hemmed in and no way out…
…I was right in the cliff-edge, ready to fall, when God grabbed and held me. God’s my strength, He’s also my song, and now He’s my salvation.”
Go read all 29 verses of this praise and thanksgiving Psalm.
I know a lot of folks feel “hemmed in” and “pushed to the edge” by others these days. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel that way. If I am being completely “real” and transparent, I am over people. I love God’s children…but they starting to get on my nerves. Everyone is an expert on everything and if I’ve seen one opinion I have seen a million. I know we are all ready for this to be over, but in my spirit I feel like there are so many people on the edge of so many great things, yet they are letting this world dictate their relationship with their Savior. I’ve caught myself doing it because of things out of my control. Listen, I could lay my opinions out there and voice my stance, but what does it matter?…and your girl is just here to tell you how much Jesus loves you.
If you are feeling like you are standing on the edge of a cliff pressed on all sides by the enemy…just fall into Jesus.
He is there.
He will catch you.
He will hold you.
This world has nothing for you. The government is not your Savior. The economy isn’t going to hold you up in your time of true spiritual need.
Truth be told, Jesus has always been there, but sometimes you have to be on the edge of cliff with nowhere else to go. Maybe this mess we are in is your cliff. Don’t allow the pressing from the enemy to keep you for jumping into the unknown. God has big kingdom plans for you! You aren’t limited because of a cliff’s edge or pressure from opposition. Refuse to let this world point its fingers at you because you rely on something other than a face mask and a stimulus check. That stuff has you “hemmed in” and pushed to the edge, friend.
Just jump to Jesus. You are already held…even before your feet leave the cliff.
