There are so many people in my life right now that are in the rain. Not the literal rain that I hear outside my window, but one of those throw on the galoshes, open the umbrella and run as fast as you can toward shelter kinda storms of life. I scroll through social media and see so much hurt in the status updates and pictures that are posted. I hurt along with those pieces of your life that you have shared.
As I am lying in bed, thanks to a school cancellation 🙌🏼 and waiting on my coffee to brew, I can’t help but to be brought back to a drawing that I did a little less than two years ago. A time when I was in a torrential downpour in my own life. I didn’t understand why I was in that awful place or why God has me going through it, but I just trusted in Him to keep me safe from the effects of the storm. At that point, I couldn’t see the rainbow. The clouds were too dark and the rain was so heavy. Yet now…as I sit here looking back, I see the hand of God has brought growth and an amazing harvest! He is so good!
If you are in the rain right now, it is for a reason. Embrace it with some super cute rain boots and jacket. Praise Him for the rain in your life…it brings growth. Allow God to work in your life as the rain is hitting your face. He is wanting you to grow in this rainy season, so when the harvest comes it will blow you away! You will splash in the puddles of his blessings long after the rain has stopped…and as you survey your harvest you will be able to say your faith has grown and the blessings taste so sweet! I know you can’t see them now, but I can say with the utmost confidence that they have been cultivated, planted, watered and will be cropping up soon!
“So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today—to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul— then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil.”
