I wasn’t sure where God wanted me to go this morning, but as I opened my Bible to glance back at the book of Ruth and my drawings from last week I found two empty pages at the end of the book that needed filling. I felt like God was saying to me, “There’s more”, so I read the last four verses that talk about the genealogy of David. Normally, I do not read from this Bible, I just draw in it…but I couldn’t help but think how God works and just be in complete awe this morning as I sip lukewarm my coffee! His plans are SO much greater than we can ever fathom! From Ruth and Boaz would come a king…and better than that, The King! I have put wheat in each of my drawings because it was crucial in the story. Now, I don’t know if it is any significance or not, but wheat symbolizes fertility, life and abundance (according to google 😉). Better yet:
Jesus is life everlasting.
Jesus is abundance overflowing.
I am shaking as I try to type these words! Think about it. From the threshing room floor, to the throne, God provided our Redeemer!
Now, if I am being honest, I am sitting here mad at myself because I misspelled threshing in my Bible 😩, but that just reminded me of how imperfect I am…and how God is absolute perfection down to every word, letter and syllable found in His Word.
Thank you Lord for the reminder, that God can use imperfection to complete a perfect plan! You are perfect in all your ways!
Gah lay, I love this book more and more…
