I am pretty sure that the reason Christians can no longer take a stand or resist the tactics of the devil is because we are walking around unarmored and vulnerable. We have laid down the armor of God. Some have found it getting in the way and have stuck in their spiritual closet telling themselves they can make it on their own. Listen closely:
Your battle is not with someone of a different race.
Your battle is not with those across political party lines.
Your battle is not with the person that believes differently than you.
Your battle is not with the person that you see in the mirror.
Stop all that nonsense!
Your battle is against the rulers, authorities and the world powers of darkness…spiritual forces of evil.
The only way you will be prepared to fight all that is with the armor of God. Forget about all that other mess and put on…
Your belt of TRUTH:Truth always trumps facts!
Breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS: it protects your heart, friend
Shoes of PEACE: Spreading the Gospel…The Good News!
Shield of FAITH: protects you from the fiery arrows of setbacks and temptations
Helmet of SALVATION: protects your mind and identifies your allegiance as a soldier of God
Sword of The Spirit: The Word of God…protection from lies.
When you have on your armor, you are no longer relying on your own strength, but the vast strength of the Lord! (Ephesians 6:10)
Suit up, sister! There is a battle going on out there.
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
