Who is Jesus to you?
God desires a relationship with us, will you agree?
Well, a relationship can only be made and strengthened when we invest in the person in which we desire a relationship. God already is there desiring a relationship…it’s you and I that decide how strong that relationship will be. God does not change…He remains the same today, as He did in the Garden. But since the Garden, our relationship with God has been tarnished because of sin. Now, make no mistake…God wants a relationship with us, but He doesn’t need it. God doesn’t lack anything or isn’t in need of anything. If He did, He would no longer be God. With that being said, it means that the change happens with you and me…we are the ones that move, change position or drift away.
Maybe your relationship with God isn’t as close as it was when you were first saved…possibly because someone in church hurt you…or someone who called themselves a Christian treated you wrong. Maybe you like sin. Well guess what…that’s our human nature. You are no different than anyone else. If someone tells you they don’t like sin, they are lying. That’s why the world is in it’s present state. We’ve chosen a relationship with sin over a relationship with God.
That’s where Jesus comes in.
Jesus is The Gospel. There should never be anything added to Him or taken away from Him. Know WHO Jesus is to you! Do not rely on someone else’s relationship with Jesus to be YOUR relationship. Dive into the scripture for yourself. Study God’s Word and allow Him to show Himself to YOU! Jesus is the bridge between us and God, the Father. Because of Jesus, we are made sons and daughters to a righteous God! When you read the infallible Word of God, He will reveal truth to you each and every time.
Maybe you aren’t where you know God wants you to be? Maybe you feel lost, discouraged or heading the wrong way, spiraling out of control. Seek God…there you will find Jesus.
Pick your head up.
Turn around and open the door to life.
God desires a relationship with you and that can only happen through Jesus.
Spend time getting to know your Savior and Who He is to YOU.
That’s where your relationship with God will flourish…not through anything or anyone else…only Jesus. He is The Key to life and life more abundantly.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
John 14:6 (NKJV)
